Bracket average: (Qualifier 1 + Qualifier 2 + season average) ÷ 3. Each counts equally, so two-thirds comes from Championship qualifying and one-third from the regular season.
How tiers work: IDS uses its “Floating Bubble” distribution to group the Championship field by bracket average into 7 Open tiers or 6 Lap/Legend tiers. Cutoffs depend on the competing field rather than fixed regular-season distance divisions. Full Championship criteria
